Lead Maintenance Technician
Description

The Lead Maintenance Technician will provide support to and act as a backup for the Maintenance Foreman.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with leading and supervising crews
  • Assist with managing the work order system and ensuring all tasks are scheduled and completed as required.
  • Assist with the vetting and reviewing of jobs to determine the priority of the jobs and specifications of each job prior to the crews arriving. This ensures that the crews have the proper equipment to effectively and timely complete the job.
  • Act as backup to Maintenance Foreman when out of the office and as necessary
  • Maintain and repair multiple dehy units/ changing filters and checking all pumps and fluid levels
  • Routinely clean and wash compressor skids and other process equipment
  • Trouble shoot issues with production equipment.
  • Change Small valves and threaded piping
  • Maintain plants and facility locations/roads
  • Maintain Backhoes and trailers as needed.
  • Help Lease operators with small projects 
  • Coordinate and pig all pipelines as needed 
  • Maintain and clean crew truck and tools
  • Do all required computer work and reports
  • Work safely and productively
Requirements
  • Previous oilfield experience is required
  • Valid CDL is preferred
  • Goal driven/forward thinking
  • Ability to learn and retain task knowledge
  • Heavy equipment experience a plus
  • A steady work history and strong work-ethic
  • Competency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook Express

Physical Demands and Exposures

  • Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected. 
  • Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection. 
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, walking.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 
  • Ability to individually lift: Maximum 100 lbs.
  • Possible exposures to gas/ liquid hydrocarbons and salt water.
