Description
OVERVIEW
We are a growing dermatology practice committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care across Oregon. As we continue expanding specialty services, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Urologist to join our team.
The Urologist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of urologic conditions in both outpatient and procedural settings. The physician will work closely with advanced practice providers, clinical staff, and leadership to deliver exceptional patient care while helping expand access to comprehensive urologic services within the community.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic urologic conditions.
- Perform comprehensive urologic assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations.
- Order, interpret, and review laboratory studies, imaging, and diagnostic procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Perform office-based and surgical urologic procedures within scope of practice.
- Manage conditions related to men’s health, urinary tract disorders, kidney stones, prostate disease, urinary incontinence, and other urologic concerns.
- Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, surgical interventions, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the EMR.
- Collaborate with advanced practice providers, referring physicians, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice growth efforts.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Urology Residency Program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology.
- Active Oregon medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
- DEA registration and unrestricted prescriptive authority (or ability to obtain).
- Strong clinical and procedural skills in urologic care.
- Excellent communication and patient-centered care skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong documentation, organizational, and time-management skills.
Preferred
- Experience in outpatient and procedural urology practice.
- Experience performing cystoscopy, vasectomy, prostate procedures, stone management, and other common urologic interventions.
- Interest in men’s health, urinary incontinence, kidney stone disease, and general urology.
- Experience supervising or collaborating with Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.
- Experience working in a fast-paced specialty clinic environment.
- Interest in helping develop and grow a urology service line.
