Director, Marketing & Communications
Description

At Larson Capital Management LLC we are seeking a Director of Marketing & Communications to be responsible for owning the full marketing and communications functions — serving as the final editorial authority on all investor-facing and advisor-facing content produced by or on behalf of the firm. This is a leadership role that combines strategic communications oversight with hands-on content stewardship, ensuring that everything LCM puts in front of investors, advisors, and the public is accurate, on-brand, and of the highest quality.

The Director oversees content produced both internally by the IR team and externally by the LFS Marketing department, reviewing and approving all outbound materials before distribution. This person sets the editorial standard for the firm, structures how content is developed and routed for review, and makes final decisions on messaging, tone, and timing across all communications channels.

This role also directly manages the Sr. Investor Relations Manager and IR Associate, providing leadership and direction on investor communications, reporting workflows, and day-to-day IR execution. The Director works in close collaboration with the BD team, investment management, compliance, and the LFS Marketing department to ensure consistent, coordinated messaging across all touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

Editorial Oversight & Content Approval

  • Serve as the final reviewer and approver for all investor-facing and advisor-facing content, including fund updates, investor letters, capital call and distribution notices, pitch materials, and digital communications.
  • Review and approve content produced by the LFS Marketing department on behalf of LCM, ensuring alignment with LCM’s messaging standards, brand voice, and regulatory requirements.
  • Structure and manage internal content development workflows, defining how materials are drafted, routed, reviewed, and approved across the IR and marketing teams.
  • Maintain and enforce a consistent editorial standard across all LCM communications, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and appropriate tone for investor and advisor audiences.
  • Partner with compliance to ensure all outbound communications meet regulatory requirements before distribution.

Investor & Advisor Communications

  • Own the investor communications calendar, overseeing the timely and accurate delivery of quarterly reports, fund updates and notices, and ad hoc investor correspondence.
  • Develop and refine the firm’s investor communications strategy, ensuring LPs receive clear, consistent, and professionally presented information about their investments.
  • Collaborate with the Director of BD — Advisor Channel on advisor-facing materials, ensuring product messaging is accurate, compelling, and appropriately tailored for advisor audiences.
  • Support the BD team with pitch materials, due diligence packages, and presentation content for RIA and advisor distribution efforts.

Brand, Marketing & Digital Presence

  • Own LCM’s brand voice and visual identity standards, ensuring consistency across all internal and external materials.
  • Oversee the firm’s digital presence including website content, investment opportunity listings on fundraising platforms, and any social or digital marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate with the LFS Marketing department on firm-wide brand initiatives, marketing campaigns, and content production, serving as LCM’s primary point of contact and approver.
  • Develop and oversee production of fund marketing materials, investor presentations, and collateral in collaboration with internal teams and LFS Marketing.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen LCM’s market positioning and brand awareness among target investor and advisor audiences.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Directly manage the Sr. Investor Relations Manager and IR Associate, providing leadership, direction, and professional development support.
  • Partner with investment management, operations, compliance, and BD teams to ensure accurate and timely information flows into all communications.
  • Work with the SVP/MD to develop and execute the firm’s annual communications plan and marketing priorities.
  • Maintain organized records of communications, content approvals, and distribution logs.
Requirements
  •  Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 8–12 years of experience in marketing, communications, or investor relations, with significant experience in financial services or investment management.
  • Demonstrated experience owning or managing investor communications in a fund management, private equity, real estate, or RIA context.
  • Proven track record of serving as a final editorial decision-maker on investor- or client-facing content.
  • Experience managing or coordinating with external marketing teams or agencies, with the ability to review, direct, and approve third-party produced content.
  • Strong understanding of private real estate, alternative investments, or financial services industry communications standards.
  • Experience managing direct reports and leading small teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including advanced PowerPoint; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent design tools a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).

Skills & Abilities

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong editorial eye and attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, investor-appropriate language.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to set standards, give direction, and hold the team accountable to quality and deadlines.
  • Strategic thinker who can also execute at a high level of detail.
  • Comfortable operating as a decision-maker and final authority on communications content.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and deadlines.
  • Collaborative partner to BD, IR, compliance, and investment teams.
  • Self-directed and capable of building structure and process where it doesn’t yet exist.
