Hoag Health, Orange County's top-ranked healthcare system is seeking a Board-Certified Medical Oncologist who specializes in Breast Cancer to join our rapidly expanding nationally recognized Oncology program in Newport Beach/Irvine, CA. We are seeking mission-minded physicians who provide patient-centered care through clear communication and collaboration with members of the subspecialty teams.
Hoag’s multidisciplinary team of experts provides streamlined access to the full array of advanced breast cancer diagnosis and treatment options. Our multi-disciplinary team consists of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, breast surgeons, radiologists and pathologists, all specialized in breast cancer care, along with nurse practitioners, nurse navigators, women’s health physicians, integrative oncology providers and tenured support staff to ensure breast cancer patients receive the highest quality of care.
The Hoag Family Cancer Institute, (HFCI) provides comprehensive cancer services on two primary campuses in Newport Beach and Irvine, CA with a third satellite clinic located in Huntington Beach. A beautiful, state of the art cancer outpatient/inpatient facility is nearing completion in Irvine, CA with an opening planned in September 2026. HFCI offers over 100 active cancer clinical trials, including a robust, early phase tails program to provide the full spectrum of standard of care and cutting-edge research to patients with breast cancer.
HFCI closely collaborates with Hoag’s award-winning Women’s Health Institute (WHI) to deliver comprehensive and patient-centered breast cancer care. This close collaboration includes access to the highest volume breast surgery program in the State of California, and one of only a handful of Oncoplastic Breast Surgery programs in the country. Woman can undergo breast tumor resections and reconstruction in a single operation. The highly rated Mammography program will soon offer cutting-edge Breast CT scans as an option for women who require alternative to standard mammography or breast MRI.

Requirements:
• M.D. or D.O. from an accredited educational institution
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Medical Oncology
• Subspecialty fellowship training in Breast Medical Oncology preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing breast cancer patients
• Possession of, or eligibility for, unrestricted medical license in the State of California
• Ability to obtain medical staff privileges within Hoag Hospital
• Strong communication skills
• Strong interest and skills in clinical/translational breast cancer research preferred
• Ability to adapt to program needs and provide a positive patient experience
• Knowledge of Epic (EMR) is preferred but not required
