100-Paintline Entry End Operator
Description


The Paint Line Machine Operator (Entry End Operator) is responsible for safely operating and monitoring equipment on Spectra's coil coating paint line to ensure the production of high-quality coated metal products that meet customer specifications. This role is responsible for equipment setup, quality inspections, production documentation, inventory transactions, and maintaining efficient production flow while adhering to the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

The ideal candidate has previous manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate, monitor, and   adjust paint line equipment to maintain product quality and production      efficiency.
  • Perform equipment setup,  changeovers, and order preparation according to production schedules.
  • Monitor machine performance and   troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct visual quality   inspections throughout the production process and verify products meet  customer specifications.
  • Complete all production   paperwork, inventory transactions, production labels, and required   documentation accurately.
  • Enter and maintain production      data using computer systems and manufacturing software.
  • Perform final inspections before   products are packaged for shipment.
  • Maintain accurate production  records, inventory adjustments, and operational reports.
  • Assist with preventative  maintenance, equipment cleaning, and routine inspections.
  • Communicate production, quality,  and equipment issues with supervisors, maintenance, and production teams.
  • Operate forklifts and material  handling equipment as needed (if certified).
  • Follow all Standard Operating  Procedures (SOPs), safety policies, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and  safe work environment.
  • Support continuous improvement  initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and customer      satisfaction.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED      required.
  • Previous manufacturing or machine  operation experience required.
  • Previous paint line, coil coating, slitter line, or chemical processing experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and  troubleshooting skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including  Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and manufacturing software.
  • Basic typing and data entry  skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills,   including fractions, decimals, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to read, write, and   follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and  commitment to quality.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50   pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and  work on concrete floors throughout the entire shift.
  • Ability to work in a  non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to heat and      cold.
  • Ability to work overtime,   weekends, and alternate shifts as business needs require.
  • Forklift experience preferred but   not required.
  • Must be dependable with excellent  attendance and punctuality.
  • Must successfully pass a   pre-employment drug screen and background check.
