Position Summary

Keuka College invites applications for a regular part-time (20 hours a week) Staff Clinical Coordinator. This position provides operational leadership and coordination of clinical education experiences for pre-licensure, RN-to-BS, and graduate nursing programs. Reporting to the Executive Director of the Division of Nursing, the Clinical Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the College and clinical partners, ensuring high-quality clinical learning experiences that support student success and meet program outcomes, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.


The Clinical Coordinator plans, coordinates, facilitates, administers, and evaluates clinical education activities in collaboration with faculty, students, healthcare agencies, and community partners. Responsibilities include clinical placement management, healthcare partnership development, student and faculty compliance oversight, clinical scheduling, accreditation support, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Clinical Placement and Partnership Management

  • Coordinate and secure clinical placements for students in pre-licensure, RN-to-BS, and graduate nursing programs.
  • Develop and maintain clinical schedules in collaboration with faculty and healthcare partners.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with healthcare agencies, preceptors, and community partners.
  • Facilitate the acquisition, maintenance, and renewal of clinical affiliation agreements.
  • Maintain databases of agency contacts, placement requests, confirmations, and clinical requirements.
  • Coordinate site visits and represent the College at clinical partner and professional meetings as appropriate.

Student Compliance and Clinical Readiness

  • Monitor student compliance with agency requirements, including health records, certifications, background checks, drug screenings, and other required documentation.
  • Coordinate student onboarding and orientation requirements for clinical agencies.
  • Maintain accurate and secure clinical placement and compliance records.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure students meet all clinical readiness requirements.

Faculty and Program Support

  • Collaborate with nursing leadership and faculty to determine clinical placement needs based on curriculum and enrollment.
  • Assist with onboarding and support of clinical instructors, adjunct faculty, and preceptors.
  • Maintain records of faculty compliance with agency-specific requirements.
  • Serve as a resource for faculty, students, and clinical partners regarding clinical policies, procedures, and placement requirements.
  • Assist in resolving clinical placement, scheduling, and compliance issues.

Assessment, Accreditation, and Quality Improvement

  • Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of the clinical education component of the nursing curriculum.
  • Assist with data collection, reporting, and documentation for program assessment, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support compliance with CCNE standards, New York State regulations, and clinical agency requirements.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives related to clinical education, student learning outcomes, and clinical site effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to assess and enhance the quality of clinical learning experiences.
Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution required; Master of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or eligibility for New York State licensure.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical education, including the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of student clinical learning experiences.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, clinical agency requirements, and student compliance processes necessary to support safe, effective, and compliant clinical education experiences.
  • Understanding of nursing practice, healthcare systems, and clinical education processes.
  • Experience coordinating with clinical agencies, faculty, preceptors, and students to support clinical placements and learning opportunities.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, students, healthcare agencies, and community partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, database management systems, electronic record-keeping platforms, and clinical placement software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, complex schedules, and competing deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound professional judgment, and uphold professional and ethical standards.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student success, professional nursing standards, diversity and inclusion, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Experience working with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements related to nursing education.
  • Experience developing and maintaining partnerships with healthcare organizations and clinical agencies.
  • Teaching or faculty experience in nursing education preferred.
