What You'll Do


As the Human Resources Coordinator, you'll play an important role in supporting the employee lifecycle from candidate to new hire and beyond. You'll help ensure our recruiting and onboarding processes run smoothly while also providing administrative support across the HR department.

During the initial training period, this position will work primarily in our Kingwood office. After successful completion of training, the position will transition to a hybrid schedule of approximately two days per week in the office and three days working remotely, based on business needs.


Responsibilities include:

  • Post and maintain job openings across recruiting platforms
  • Coordinate interviews and scheduling with candidates and hiring managers
  • Conduct reference checks and assist with candidate communications
  • Prepare offer letters and recruiting correspondence
  • Verify I-9 employment eligibility documentation for new hires
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, including new hire materials and orientation logistics
  • Submit and track IT onboarding requests
  • Send 30-day new hire follow-up communications and coordinate six-month check-in meetings
  • Process recruiting invoices and maintain recruiting records
  • Track Clinical Observation Forms and other HR documentation
  • Maintain confidential employee files and HR records
  • Coordinate gift cards, sympathy acknowledgments, and other employee appreciation efforts
  • Assist with department communications, executive correspondence, and recruiting updates for the Mann Eye Minute
  • Support HR special projects
  • Provide administrative support across the Human Resources department as business needs evolve

Requirements

 What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • One to two years of experience in administrative support, customer service, recruiting coordination, medical office administration, or a related field preferred
  • Prior Human Resources experience is helpful but not required. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a desire to learn
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn HR systems
  • A positive attitude, strong customer service mindset, and willingness to jump in wherever needed
  • Someone who demonstrates initiative, accountability, and a genuine interest in building a career in Human Resources
