Description
The Design Center Coordinator is the main point person for our design center. They are responsible for communication with our builder partners, current and future customers, sales staff, and management. This person is responsible for the look and feel of the showroom, conference room, and demonstration areas. They are also responsible for planning and coordinating on and off-site events.
Starting salary range is $22.00 to $28.00/hour depending on experience and certifications.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support the day-to-day operations of the design center
- Maintain showrooms, conference room and design center aesthetics
- Greet customers, schedule and coordinate design center appointments
- Receive and distribute lead assignments
- Communicate regularly with sales team and leadership team and maintain the calendars of all outside sales representatives
- Handle the pre-planning, communication, setup, and execution of offsite and onsite meetings and special events, including but not limited to, customer meetings, vendor events, and internal events.
- Assist with data entry and documents management
- Maintain daily sales tracking for executive leadership team
- Assist members of the executive leadership team as needed
- Ensure beverages and snacks are refilled and available for customers
- Be able to perform a Design Studio tour when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- 2+ years office administrative/clerical experience
- Event planning experience strongly preferred
- Extremely organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Strong ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative, and solve problems independently
- Ability to work well under pressure, with limited guidance and tight deadlines
- Must be able to clear a background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree preferred
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Prior design related sales experience
- Builder experience a plus
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
Work Environment:
- Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, printers, and light traffic)

Salary Description
