Tank Services is a leader in industrial coating, blasting, and corrosion-control services. We are seeking an experienced Area Mechanic to oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance at our Dennison, OH location.
Position Summary
The Area Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance of company vehicles, trailers, and a wide range of operational equipment. This role supports field operations by ensuring that pickup trucks, trailers, and associated equipment remain in safe, reliable, and fully functional working condition. This role reports directly to the Business Unit General Manager of Fleet.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative maintenance and diagnose mechanical problems across all fleet vehicles and equipment including enclosed trailers air compressors paint machines generators pressure washers and dust collectors in the Dennison, Ohio region
- Coordinate vehicle repairs and service with outsourced maintenance shops as needed
- Complete work orders and corresponding documentation
- Utilize fleet management software to track service history, inspections, and upcoming maintenance needs while proactively managing maintenance schedules for all vehicles and equipment
- Oversee inventory levels for tools, supplies, and materials used by field employees
- Maintain organized storage systems to ensure efficient access and accountability
- Perform general facility upkeep including snow removal, dumpster and yard maintenance, and upkeep of the chemical pad
- Coordinate chemical disposal and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
- Operate a forklift to load and unload freight equipment and inventory
- Perform basic fabrication work as needed to support field operations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient shop environment
- Support continuous improvement of shop processes, safety practices, and maintenance workflows

· Minimum three to five years’ experience in a repair and maintenance role
· Valid forklift certification
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Must have experience working with small diesel and gasoline engines
· Must be mechanically inclined with excellent problem solving skills
· Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
· Experience with Microsoft Office preferred
