CED is well situated in Downers Grove, Illinois - we are located a commuter train ride West of Chicago and a short drive from farmland.


CED's current salary range for this role is $74,500 to $100,000 / year. At CED, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, location and geography. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Recruiter will partner with HR leadership to execute on CED’s staffing plan. The Senior Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle recruiting efforts to attract, assess, and hire top talent across the organization. This role drives compliance with hiring processes, helps strengthen the company’s employment brand, champions a positive candidate experience, and ensures recruiting processes are consistent, efficient, and compliant.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Partner with department leaders to execute on enterprise-wide staffing plans and develop recruiting strategies to engage with high quality candidates across the organization
  • Lead full recruitment lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer development, and onboarding coordination
  • Source talent using proactive methods such as job boards, networking, employee referrals, and targeted outreach (e.g. Veteran’s organizations)
  • Provide consultation to hiring managers on job descriptions, labor market insights, and interview techniques
  • Monitor requisition loads assigned to other recruiters / sourcers; escalate concerns to leadership
  • Ensure all recruiting activities comply with organizational policies and employment laws
  • Maintain a high-quality candidate experience by ensuring timely communication and organized process flow
  • Track and report recruiting metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide guidance and advice to recruiting staff and contribute to continuous improvement of recruiting processes and tools
  • Represent the organization at career fairs, community events, technical schools, and universities


OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Comply with government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure 100% compliance with the Chemring Operational Framework, Code of Conduct and U.S. Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
  • Special projects and additional duties as assigned

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in business preferred


EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 3 years progressive experience in full cycle recruiting, with a strong preference for manufacturing or engineering industries


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Lawful US Person (ITAR restrictions)
  • Must be eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) for all employees of Chemring Energetic Devices
  • Demonstrated success recruiting for technical, professional, and manufacturing roles
  • Strong sourcing skills with a commitment to process integrity
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent requisitions to meet staffing requirements
  • High degree of integrity and trustworthiness
  • Ability to represent the Company positively and professionally through behavior, attitude and professional communication

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, weighing up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or a negligible amount of weight frequently. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Daily and extensive computer usage.
