Tanaq Government Services (TGS) provides facilities Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services to federal customers. Services include complete building maintenance and operations for large, complex individual buildings, as well as multiple buildings in large campus-type environments, including military installations. TGS is a subsidiary of the St. George Tanaq Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) committed to serving federal customers while giving back to the Tanaq Native community and shareholders.
About the Role
We are seeking an Aircraft Servicer Lead to provide onsite leadership, coordination, and transient aircraft services to our team of aircraft servicers at Fort Campbell, KY.
This is a fully onsite position at Fort Campbell in Kentucky.
Responsibilities
- Leads staff and performs transient aircraft services, including aircraft movement, aircraft operations, assisting with concurrent servicing operations, safety management, special events support, emergency and exercise support, ordering and turning in parts from the Air Force Supply System, requested vehicle escorts, and management of publications and forms.
- Leads staff and performs these services to meet transient aircraft arrival, aircraft operations, and departure schedules established by the customer.
- Under the direction of the Contract Manager and Alternate Contract Manager, coordinates crew schedules, work assignments, timecards, sick days, and vacations to support work coverage and customer satisfaction.
- Supports the Contract Manager and Alternate Contract Manager by performing additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Performs arrival services on all transient aircraft as directed and in accordance with applicable TOs and AFIs. This includes prepositioning AGE/support equipment; providing escort/follow-me service; marshalling aircraft to spot; grounding aircraft; performing hot brakes/hydrazine inspections; installing locks, pins, and safeing devices; connecting and operating AGE; debriefing; reporting aircraft status; and retrieving chutes.
- Performs transient aircraft processing services and provides aircraft servicing and ground handling in accordance with applicable regulations, TOs, and safety standards. This includes maintenance support; aircraft inspections; engine oil analysis (JOAP samples); visual inspections; oxygen and fluid checks; tire and shock strut inspections; maintenance and inspection documentation; refueling/defueling; towing; securing aircraft; and AGE operation.
- Performs departure services on all transient aircraft as directed and in accordance with applicable TOs and AFIs. This includes briefing aircraft status and fuel load to the flight crew; operating AGE; removing covers, chocks, ground wires, and safety devices; performing parking spot FOD inspection; assisting with engine start; marshalling aircraft; and removing AGE.
- Performs emergency services, including emergency response, emergency and exercise support, emergency towing, disaster preparedness response, fuel spill response, and anti-theft/hijack procedures.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Skills
- Prior experience leading staff and providing onsite transient aircraft services and support for military and/or commercial aircraft preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and requests from customers and others.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Human relations skills to build effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and common-sense skills.
- Must abide by the federal Drug-Free Workplace policy.
- Must be able to pass background check requirements as set by the client.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Must possess and maintain, or be eligible to obtain, a NACI clearance. Must be able to pass a National Agency Check Investigation.
- United States citizenship is required.
Education and Training
- High School Diploma or GED.
