Description
- Assumes responsibility for the overall management of the Wellness Center Facility. Develops and directs individual and/or group wellness programs and activities, in coordination with Physical Therapy services.
- Designs and markets wellness programs in the community, for recruitment and retention of members.
- Establishes and maintains department policies, procedures, and methods of operation, in coordination with Physical Therapy Services.
- Selects staff; provides orientation, training, in-service education, and other staff development programs
- Monitors effective utilization of staff to maximize productivity; coaches, evaluates and counsels staff regarding performance, problem-solving, and decision making; serves as a role model.
- Designs advertising and promotional materials, and displays for marketing the wellness programs.
- Plans recruitment activities to enroll and maintain the membership.
- Develops and monitors member fee structures; directs billing and collection procedures.
- Monitors customer feedback regarding department services and effects changes to maintain a positive personal and department visibility in the community.
- Completes performance appraisals, records, and reports in a timely manner; ensures that all department services meet standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensures department equipment is in safe operating condition; evaluates and recommends new equipment purchases.
- Prepares annual department budget; applies innovative methods to increase revenue and decrease expenses; projects margin of income through budget, and operates department within budgetary limits
- Other roles and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Marketing,
- Health/Business Management and/or minimum of two years related management experience.
- National certifications, (i.e. NSCA, ACSM, ACE) and health education preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and leadership skill required.
Physical Requirements:
- Work is of medium to heavy demand.
- Routine lifting requirements up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting requirements up to 100 pounds.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing, sitting, bending and reaching required.
- Exposure to warm and humid temperatures.

Salary Description
$68,640 - $110,000/yr. (Depending on Experience)
