The Order Management & Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accurate alignment of customer orders within the ERP system while supporting the Operations team with data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This role serves as a critical link between the customer and Operations by maintaining order accuracy and providing analytical insights that support business decisions.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with data, and possesses advanced Microsoft Excel skills. This position requires someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day operational responsibilities with ad hoc analytical projects.


Duties and Responsibilities


Order Management

  • Review customer orders to ensure accuracy and completeness within the SyteLine ERP system. 
  • Monitor order status and proactively communicate issues that could impact customer deliveries. 
  • Maintain accurate order records and system data integrity. 
  • Support order revisions, cancellations, and customer change requests by the Customer Service/Business Development team. 

Operations Support

  • Assist Operations with production scheduling and order prioritization as needed. 
  • Monitor operational data for trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Support cross-functional initiatives to improve workflow efficiency. 
  • Participate in process documentation and continuous improvement projects. 
  • Provide backup support for other operational functions as business needs require. 

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain Excel reports, dashboards, and tracking tools. 
  • Perform ad hoc data analysis to support the Operations team. 
  • Identify data inconsistencies and recommend corrective actions. 
  • Gather, clean, and organize data from multiple sources for reporting purposes. 
  • Present findings in a clear and actionable format. 

Other Duties

  • Support special projects and business initiatives as assigned. 
  • Assist with system testing, reporting enhancements, and process improvements. 
  • Perform other operational and analytical duties as business needs evolve. 
Requirements
  • Legal: Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening.
  • ITAR: Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum (due to ITAR requirements).
  • Education: (Preferred) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • System Expertise: 2+ years of experience administering, configuring, or implementing ERP and Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) software (e.g., Infor, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, or specialized scheduling systems)
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proven ability to interpret production constraints, capacity limits, and lead times. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Advanced formulas, Charts and reporting. Familiarity with Power Query, Power BI, or other reporting tools. Basic SQL knowledge is a plus. 
  • Project Management: Proven experience managing projects or continuous improvement initiatives with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
