Description
Essential Functions
- Create and distribute content for internal and external platforms, including email newsletters, websites, and social media
- Support the planning, messaging, and execution of organizational events
- Design branded communications including reports, presentations, brochures, and flyers
- Provide responsive and professional service to internal and external partners and stakeholders
- Coordinate inventory of event and marketing supplies to ensure timely availability and consistent brand representation
- Curate and maintain a digital library of image and video files
- Manage email distribution list database, regularly updating contact records, segmenting audiences, and ensuring data accuracy to support effective communication campaigns
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Knowledge of Canva, Mailchimp, Adobe InDesign/Illustrator, Microsoft Office, and WordPress
- Proficiency with social media platforms and scheduling/analytics tools
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive organizational information
- Ability to work respectfully and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Preferred, but not essential:
- Photography, video editing, and multimedia skills
- Spanish language proficiency
- 1–3 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related role
- Degree in public relations, marketing, communications or a related field
- Experience in lieu of a degree is welcomed
- Valid CA driver’s license
- Proof of insurance
- Access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 30–50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods during events
- Comfortable performing physical tasks such as setting up displays, transporting materials, and organizing inventory
