Description
In this role, you will:
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate U.S. GAAP financial reporting
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, estimates, and management reporting
- Oversee manufacturing accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, labor and overhead absorption, production variances, scrap, yield, and inventory reserves
- Manage project accounting from contract setup through closeout, including budgets, forecasting, profitability analysis, and change order accounting
- Administer percentage-of-completion revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
- Analyze key manufacturing performance metrics, including labor efficiency, material usage, purchase price variance, inventory turns, gross margins, and operational performance
- Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve plant profitability and support capital investment decisions
- Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and operational analyses to support business planning
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls while supporting annual external audits
- Lead ERP optimization, automation, and financial process improvement initiatives
- Support software implementations and continuous improvement projects across the Finance organization
- Develop, coach, mentor, and support accounting team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insight that supports strategic decision-making
- Build strong partnerships with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Project Management, and FP&A teams
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Five (5) or more years of progressive accounting experience, including at least three (3) years supporting manufacturing operations
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Experience with manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and standard costing
- Experience with project accounting and percentage-of-completion accounting
- Experience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools
- Experience leading ERP implementations or financial process improvement initiatives
- Experience developing and mentoring accounting professionals
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and operational finance
Your Work Schedule
This is a full-time, exempt position working Monday through Friday in Lebanon, Oregon. The role is primarily office-based with regular collaboration throughout ENTEK's manufacturing operations and occasional time spent on the production floor supporting operational initiatives.
