SALARY RANGE: $14.00-$20.00
ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family.
JOB SUMMARY: Provides counseling, implementation, and coordination of youth employment and educational services. Works with Youth Services Coordinator.
CPN Workforce services personnel may be assigned to provide services to clients of all ages including but not limited to Indian Children and will require a criminal history background screening.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares and tracks Youth payroll information.
- Conducts youth recruitment, certification, and selection processes.
- Maintains participant files and records with confidentiality.
- Tracks participant characteristics by entering data in participant file and into computerized reporting system.
- Counsels participants maintaining a close professional relationship with the youth.
- Develops individual Employee Development Plans (EDP’s) with each youth to promote education and employment with self-sufficiency as the goal.
- Provides guidance through work site and classroom training visits coordinating with the work site supervisors and classroom instructors.
- Counsels participants maintaining a close professional relationship with the youth.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains positive interaction with program participants, Tribal employees, work site supervisors, counselors, and community.
- Conducts youth and staff orientation.
- Assists in development, coordination, and implementation the SY Program.
- Participates in training conferences and other related meetings.
- Attends/participates in training conferences and other related meetings.
- Miscellaneous other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs such as Word & Excel.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear concise manner.
- Accuracy in computer keyboarding skills required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- Knowledge of counseling procedures necessary for working with youth..
- Preferably two (2) years minimum experience or any equivalent combination of training or experience in counseling clients, working with youth, and/or working with community agencies.
- Must possess a reasonably clear driving record as required to be eligible to drive a tribally insured vehicle.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Repetitive work at the computer.
- Some bending and stretching.
- Light lifting as needed for file management and miscellaneous clerical office needs.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Office environment with some travel to satellite offices and/or training required.
- May transport clients in tribal vehicles for business purposes.
