Description
Responsible for completing maintenance requests and repairs to upkeep the Mystic Seaport Museum.
This position Duties of the General Maintainer shall include:
- Perform routine maintenance and general carpentry on buildings.
- Performs interior and exterior painting
- Use power tools and other equipment for building and grounds maintenance
- Perform various groundskeeping maintenance
- Perform set-up and breakdown services for special events. Such services may include delivery and erection of tents; and delivery and set-up of tables and chairs
- Provide manual labor support to other Facilities Management as assigned.
- Winter Operations support during snow removal
- Trash collection
- Gutter cleaning
Requirements
Qualifications
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Be capable of lifting 75 pounds
- Be able to perform work from a ladder
- Must be able to work outside in inclement weather both cold and hot
- Skills using power tools and equipment desired
Salary Description
$22 per hour
