Compensation: The BACB uses compensation data for the metro Denver labor market to ensure our positions provide a competitive wage based on the required education and experience.

  • The annual salary for this position is $63,700

Position Summary: This position's primary responsibility is to process administrative appeals of processed certification applications.

Requirements
  • Learn and maintain ongoing knowledge of all certification requirements and processing procedures.
  • Process administrative appeals resulting from adverse decisions or compassionate circumstances.
  • Create and provide applicable reporting information to department leadership.
  • Use appeal data to identify areas of improvement and make recommendations to leadership.
  • Present appeal decisions to Appeal Committee.
  • Maintain appeals process documentation updates.
  • Attend scheduled meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years’ full-time experience in an administrative support role performing similar duties
  • Minimum of 2 years' full-time experience using Microsoft Excel with intermediate skill level
  • Minimum of 1 year full-time experience handling ADA accommodation requests 
  • Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm with 90% accuracy
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and video conferencing.


Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to listen and speak. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the ability to lift and carry a laptop, lift files, open filing cabinets, frequently type, bend and reach as necessary is essential to the position.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a regular full-time IN OFFICE position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening, holidays, and weekend work may be required based on operations.


Campus Wellness: The BACB is a tobacco and vape free campus. Consumption of tobacco products or vaping of any kind is prohibited.


Travel: Minimal travel is expected for this position.
