About DASCO:
DASCO is a private equity-backed home medical equipment (HME/DME) company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, approaching $200M in revenue and growing 15–20% annually. Backed by Silver Oak Services Partners, DASCO operates an active M&A pipeline alongside a portfolio of joint ventures with hospital systems across multiple states. The company is entering a period of accelerated deal activity, and this role is being created to give M&A execution the dedicated, full-time finance support it now requires.
SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager, M&A Finance will own the financial workstreams of DASCO's acquisition and joint venture activity end-to-end — from diligence through post-close integration. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role for someone who wants to build and run financial models and diligence analyses directly, not manage a team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or corporate development/M&A, is fluent in building models from scratch, and can move quickly from a term sheet to a defensible set of numbers. This role reports directly to the CFO and works closely with the Director of FP&A, Controller, and deal counsel, without altering existing reporting lines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead financial due diligence on acquisition and de novo targets, including normalized/adjusted EBITDA analysis, working capital, quality-of-earnings review, and revenue cycle diligence specific to HME/DME.
- Build and maintain acquisition and forecast models: purchase price allocation support, deal-level and consolidated forecasts for sponsor and board reporting.
- Prepare buyer- and sponsor-facing deliverables: Q&A response support, data room materials and management presentation exhibits.
- Partner with the Director of FP&A and Controller to translate deal terms into forecast and reporting impacts, ensuring a clean handoff from diligence into the existing management reporting framework.
- Track and report pipeline status, deal economics, and post-close integration milestones (synergy capture, working capital true-ups, earnout calculations) to the CFO.
- Manage relationships with external diligence providers (QoE firms, legal counsel, valuation specialists) on a deal-by-deal basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in private equity, investment banking (M&A/healthcare coverage), or corporate development/M&A at an operating company.
- Demonstrated ability to build financial models independently without relying on templates built by others.
- Strong Excel skills at a level suited to building diligence workbooks from raw data exports.
- Comfortable operating with significant autonomy in a lean finance team, without the deal-team infrastructure (analysts, associates) typical of PE or banking environments.
Preferred:
- Healthcare services or healthcare-adjacent deal experience.
- Prior exposure to joint venture structures, minority-interest accounting, or hospital/health-system partnerships.
- Familiarity with Brightree or similar HME/DME operating systems, or a track record of ramping quickly on industry-specific billing and reimbursement mechanics.
What Success Looks Like in the First Year:
- Independently runs financial diligence on new acquisition targets with minimal CFO oversight on mechanics, escalating judgment calls rather than routine analysis.
- Has taken full ownership of the JV tracker and at least one active JV workstream (e.g., a new formation or restructuring) from financial modeling through close.
- Is a trusted second set of eyes on buyer-facing materials.
- Has built enough HME/DME-specific fluency to flag revenue-cycle and reimbursement risk in diligence without prompting.
What Success Looks Like in the First Year:
- Base salary: $140,000–$170,000, commensurate with experience.
- Annual bonus target: 20% of base salary.
- Total cash compensation competitive with PE-backed healthcare services companies of similar size in the Columbus, OH market.
- Clear path to Director-level scope as deal volume increase.
