Engrain builds map-based tech that’s redefining how real estate works. Our interactive, unit-level maps and powerful data integrations help over 1,000 companies—and 20,000 properties—to make smarter decisions, streamline leasing, and deliver better renter experiences. From prospect to renewal, our products give properties a spatial brain and a visual edge when it comes to property marketing and management. And it’s working: our churn rate is just 5%, and we’ve been putting up double-digit growth numbers every year.
We’re not your typical proptech company. We move fast, we stay curious, and we don’t do stale or corporate fluff. Backed by successful Seed and Series A rounds, we’re entering a phase of serious scale.
We are looking for a mid-to-senior Product Designer to join our growing Experience Design team. In this role, you will own the end-to-end design for our core products and critical customer experiences. You’ll be responsible for taking complex, multi-layered workflows and turning them into intuitive, elegant features that deliver immediate value to our users.
You will report directly to the Senior Director of Product Design and collaborate daily within a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, and leadership.
What you’ll do...
- Own the Core Experience: Lead the design strategy and execution for core product features, from initial ideation, wireframing, and prototyping to high-fidelity UI and developer handoff.
- Balance Craft & Speed: Make design trade-offs confidently, knowing when to go deep on craft and when to ship a pragmatic solution that moves the product forward.
- Leverage AI for Strategic Velocity: Integrate AI-augmented workflows to eliminate execution friction and accelerate prototyping—offloading operational overhead so the team can focus on high-level strategy, deep problem framing, and driving real customer outcomes over pure volume.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Leadership to align user needs with business goals, ensuring technical feasibility and successful execution.
- Advocate for the User: Utilize customer feedback, qualitative/quantitative data, and UX best practices to champion the user’s voice throughout the product lifecycle.
- Contribute to the Ecosystem: Collaborate with the Experience Design team (Product Design, UX, and Product Enablement) to scale our design system, maintain consistency, and elevate our overall design culture.
- Have Real Impact: You’re not just a cog in a machine. Your designs will directly shape the core product and impact thousands of users daily.
- Be A Part Of A Collaborative Culture: We believe great design doesn't happen in a vacuum. You’ll be part of a structured, supportive Experience Design team that prioritizes mentorship, growth, sharing work and continuous learning.
What you offer us…
- Experience: 3–5+ years of digital product design experience, ideally within a B2B SaaS, PropTech, or marketplace environment.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating your end-to-end design process, clean visual design, structured product thinking, and a knack for solving complex user experience challenges.
- Tools & AI Literacy: Mastery of modern design tools (Figma and Claude are our primary workspaces) alongside a forward-thinking comfort with AI tools to elevate your conceptual exploration and prototyping capability.
- Collaboration Style: An open, communicative partner who thrives in a 175-person scale-up environment—someone who loves to brainstorm with engineers and present ideas confidently to leadership.
- Mindset: A curious, outcome-driven problem-solver who uses modern tools to elevate their thinking, balancing big-picture strategy with an obsessive attention to detail.
