Job Summary:  

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Lead Parts Coordinator to oversee the daily flow of parts and materials throughout the production process. This role is responsible for coordinating inventory, ensuring timely delivery of parts to manufacturing teams, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting production schedules. The Lead Parts Coordinator serves as a leader within the department, providing guidance to team members while helping drive efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the daily activities of the Parts Coordination team
  • Ensure parts, materials, and components are received, staged, and delivered to production areas on schedule
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent production delays
  • Verify incoming and outgoing parts for accuracy, quality, and proper documentation
  • Maintain inventory records and perform cycle counts as required
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Shipping, and Warehouse teams to ensure effective material flow
  • Review work orders, production schedules, and part requirements to prioritize daily activities
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and material-related issues
  • Train and mentor team members on inventory procedures, safety requirements, and company processes
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Qualifications 

  • 2+ years of inventory control, parts coordination, logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing experience
  • Previous leadership or lead experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and material flow processes
  • Experience using ERP, MRP, or inventory management systems preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Ability to lift materials and work within a manufacturing or warehouse environment as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial operations
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
  • Ability to read production schedules, work orders, and bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
