Description
The Freedom Area School District is looking for a School Psychologist to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- IDEA Evaluation Case Management-Conduct comprehensive, legally compliant evaluations that inform instruction and services.
- 504 Evaluation Case Management-Conduct related evaluations and annual meetings in conjunction with building School Counselor.
- Intervention Design/Implementation Monitoring-Develop and support implementation of evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions and monitor progress.
- MTSS Leadership-Support school teams in building and sustaining effective Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 supports.
- Disproportionality Data Progress Monitoring-Lead teams in analyzing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional data to identify student needs and guide decision-making related to areas identified as disproportionate.
- Professional Learning for Staff-Provide training to educators on topics such as intervention strategies, behavior support, and data use.
- Collaboration with FASD educators to support classroom and building needs.
- Collaboration with Tribal school staff.
- Parent Resource-Coordinate and disseminate information. May be virtual, via email or parent engagement meetings.
Requirements
- Wisconsin School Psychologist(7062) License.
- Master’s Degree required.
- Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions, functional behavior assessments (FBAs), and multi-tiered support systems (MTSS).
- Proficient in facilitating comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, leading College and Career Ready (CCR) IEP teams, and leveraging Wisconsin’s Indicators of Special Education Performance to drive data-informed, compliant, and equitable student outcomes.
- Excellent management, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Strong background knowledge and/or experience in IDEA and Wisconsin DPI legal compliance and procedures, data-driven decision making, and research-based instructional practices.
