ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Calm and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
  • Provide directions and basic assistance to residents, families, and visitors.
  • Assist with opening doors, directing visitors, and other non-clinical support duties as assigned.
  • Report maintenance, environmental, security, or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness and evacuation  procedures as directed.

Documentation and Communication

  • Communicate resident concerns and unusual occurrences  to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident, employee, and  company information.
  • Participate in shift-to-shift communication and  provide pertinent information to incoming staff.
  • Immediately report emergencies, injuries, suspected abuse or neglect, or other reportable concerns in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.

Customer Service

  • Treat residents, families, visitors, and coworkers with dignity, courtesy, and respect.
  • Maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times.
  • Promote a resident-centered environment that respects each resident's individuality, privacy, and independence.
  • Assist in creating a positive experience for residents and their families. 

General Responsibilities

  • Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Attend required training and staff meetings.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform duties in a manner that promotes resident safety and quality of life.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements

  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience working with older adults, in senior living, hospitality, security, customer service, or a related      environment preferred.
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to respond appropriately and calmly in emergency or unexpected situations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain on one's feet and walk throughout  the community for extended periods.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the work environment.
  • Ability to respond quickly to an emergency and summon appropriate assistance.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
