What You'll Do:
Leads profitable growth of Aerzen solutions within an assigned wastewater territory. Develops and executes territory sales strategies, builds strong relationships with sales representatives and key market stakeholders, and creates new business opportunities. Understands customer needs, shapes equipment specifications, and influences purchasing decisions by clearly demonstrating the performance, reliability, and total value of Aerzen solutions.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a regional sales plan to achieve growth, order intake, and profitability objectives.
- Lead, support, and develop Aerzen’s independent municipal sales representatives within the assigned region.
- Conduct customer presentations, representative training, lunch-and-learns, and other market-development activities.
- Build relationships with municipalities, engineering firms, OEMs, contractors, and other organizations that specify, recommend, purchase, or operate Aerzen equipment.
- Identify new customers, projects, applications, and market opportunities for Aerzen products and services.
- Develop strategies for key accounts and opportunities by understanding decision-makers, project requirements, competitive conditions, and purchasing processes.
- Engage early in the project and specification process to position Aerzen solutions effectively.
- Provide technical and commercial support related to equipment selection, specifications, compliance, energy efficiency, and total cost of ownership.
- Coordinate quotations, bid submissions, pre-bid meetings, presentations, negotiations, and customer follow-up.
- Work closely with Application Engineering, Project Management, Service, Aftermarket, and Customer Support throughout the sales and order execution process.
- Maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline and prepare sales forecasts, account strategies, and activity reports using the company CRM system.
- Represent Aerzen at regional and national trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
- Monitor customer needs, competitive activity, and market trends and provide relevant feedback to the organization.

Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Successful experience in technical equipment sales.
- Municipal water and wastewater market experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working with independent sales representatives or channel partners.
- Ability to understand technical applications and clearly communicate customer and business value.
- Strong relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, organization, and opportunity-management skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned region.
Software/Applications:
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience using CRM systems to manage customer information, sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts.
Ability to use ERP systems, product configuration tools, and other business applications to access project and order information.

- Strong commercial and analytical skills, including the ability to calculate discounts, margins, commissions, percentages, and other sales-related figures.
- Self-motivated, action-oriented, and responsive, with a strong sense of urgency in meeting customer commitments.
- Ability to lead and influence independent sales representatives and cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, opportunities, and priorities across a regional territory.
- Position is eligible for remote work and a flexible schedule, subject to manager approval.
- Must have ability to travel more than 50% of the time for business as needed.
