Description
- Gain an understanding of the equipment teams’ operational tasks including equipment preparation, field layout and cleanup for trainings.
- Acquire skills in special assignments including but not limited to inventory/warehouse management, product forecasting and data analysis.
- Learn thermal label making and heat press applications.
- Gain experience in preparing, organizing, and maintaining clean equipment and boot rooms.
- Support the logistics of practice and game day preparations, including logging, communicating, and addressing player and staff requests related to equipment, supplies, and facility needs. Assist staff with various administrative tasks such as inventory, storage, and distribution.
- Gain experience in building soccer goals, shelving units, replacing nets, and any other duties that are deemed necessary within the basic guidelines of being an Equipment Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree with an interest in pursuing a career in sports.
- This is a college-credit internship. Candidates must be eligible to receive academic credit through their university for participation in the internship program.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality within a professional sports team environment.
- Ability to work nontraditional hours in nontraditional settings, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and accountable.
- Positive, outgoing, engaging, and professional personality.
- Strong understanding of and passion for the sport of soccer preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
