Butterball® Farms is seeking an EHS Training & Manufacturing Engineering Intern to develop safety, manufacturing, and training materials, as well as support continuous improvement initiatives. The primary focus of this role is to enhance existing safety training videos and develop, record, and edit new training content for production employees. The intern will work with EHS, Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to turn technical processes and safety requirements into clear, engaging training materials.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Training & Video Development
- Improve and organize existing safety training videos.
- Plan, record, edit, and produce new safety and operational training videos.
- Work with subject matter experts to develop accurate, engaging training content.
- Create supporting training materials, including graphics, presentations, and job aids.
- Help develop training for topics such as GMPs, PPE, machine safety, ergonomics, sanitation, and emergency procedures.
EHS & Manufacturing Support
- Support EHS initiatives, safety communications, and training.
- Assist with creating and updating standard work instructions and procedures.
- Support reliability and continuous improvement projects using RedZone and other systems.
- Work with Operations and Maintenance to identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on manufacturing and special projects.
What You'll Gain

- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Safety, Communications, Marketing or a related field.
- Must have completed sophomore year.
- Video editing experience with Adobe, Canva, CapCut, or similar software preferred.
- Basic video production experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to translate technical information into clear, easy-to-understand content.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and with cross-functional teams.
- Interest in manufacturing, safety, engineering, or continuous improvement.
