Mission Sync – Action Officer


The Action Officer is a core performer supporting the ASA(ALT) modernization and protection mission. The role helps prepare senior leaders for key leadership forums and drives execution with the logistics, materials, coordination, and follow-through necessary to achieve effective outcomes. Serves as a staff member supporting the development and coordination of Army senior leadership engagements and the management of Army cybersecurity mitigation implementation efforts. The role is intended to be hands-on and responsive to client requests.


Location: Onsite 3-5 days a week


Key Responsibilities

  • Cross- and inter-organizational coordination, scheduling, classified meeting logistics, read-ahead material production, staff tasker management, meeting facilitation, action tracking, and decision documentation 
  • Coordinate day-to-day engagement with Army program offices, NSA, and organizations across the Army staff 
  • Support the ASA(ALT) site-coordination function by scheduling cybersecurity mitigation events and working groups, coordinating operational venues, and hosting principals onsite for executive briefings, exercises, and site visits 
  • Capture cybersecurity risks, program risks, decisions, and requirements from senior meetings and staff engagements and route them to the appropriate workstream within the client team for execution 
  • Pre-brief senior leaders or facilitate small-group meetings (based on tenure and performance)  
Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Baseline competency in cybersecurity, approximately at the Security+ level, with the ability to understand cybersecurity mitigations, vulnerabilities, and related topics. 
  • Strong project and task management discipline, including familiarity with Agile techniques and the ability to manage multiple high-priority workstreams simultaneously 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the client’s organization across ASA(ALT) and the Army overall •Experience interfacing directly with clients, leadership, program offices, and stakeholders across organizations 
  • Familiarity with initiative strategy, requirements gathering, risk identification, and translating requirements for execution by technical teams 
  • Familiarity with Army leadership structure, Army culture, classified meeting logistics, and staff processes 
  • Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced client environment and respond effectively to staff taskers and emerging requirements •Familiarity with Army acquisition disciplines preferred 
  • TS/SCI-eligible; must hold a SECRET clearance to start work

Experience operating in TS/SCI environments is a plus, including exposure to:

  • Classified networks 
  • Courier duties •Compartmentalization •Classified material handling 
  • Derivative classification marking
