Sigvaris is currently looking for a Temporary Employee to work as an Autoclave Operator at our facility in Peachtree City, GA for about a month. Reporting directly to the Supervisor, the Autoclave Operator is responsible for efficiently operating the Steam Boarding machines following set procedures and work instructions.
SHIFT & LENGTH of the ASSIGNMENT:
• Monday to Thursday
• 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• This assignment will last for about one month.
PAY:
• $19.00 per hour
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Properly place and align multiple types of products onto aluminum forms to properly fold "pop out" heel and toe.
• Stage products in 6S locations after completion of Folding process.
• Help train new personnel as well as cross training employees.
• Work toward meeting all production goals set by Planning and the quality goals set by management.
• Perform all miscellaneous duties as they pertain to position.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following set procedures and safety instructions.
• Keep area clean as it pertains to 6S company and departmental goals.
• Ensure that all things are in their proper place and that all 6S labels are visible and not worn.
• Fosters positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment.
o Interacts with external and internal customers in a manner conducive to continued positive relationships.
o Displays patience, courtesy and tact; demonstrates flexibility, enthusiasm and willingness to cooperate while working with others or in place of others as necessary.
• Demonstrates effective communication methods.
o Supervisor and/or appropriate management staff are kept informed of developments affecting their functions.
• Follows established company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SIGVARIS policies, industry standards, ISO 13485 standards, 6S and Lean Manufacturing, and Federal, State and local laws.
• Assists with the implementation of Lean/Kaizen initiatives or events in the department.
• Follows all work instructions, creates and maintains accurate records to meet all internal and external requirements to support the SIGVARIS Quality System and Quality Policy.
• Accurately performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.
EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE:
• A high school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This job operates in a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses boarding operating machines.
• Regularly required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, bend, lift or climb.
• Occasionally required to lift light weights (less than 25 pounds).
• Finger dexterity and hand coordination required.
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.
• Tolerance for heat
AUTHORITY TO MAKE DECISIONS (AS IT PERTAINS TO JOB RESPONSIBILITIES):
• To stop Folding when producing bad quality
• To scrap products having bad quality
You will be payrolled through a temporary agency and will be required by that agency to successfully complete a background check and drug test in advance of hire.
