Job Description

Resicum International, LLC. is seeking an experienced Aircrew Survival Flight Equipment Technician I to support MH-60R/S aircraft Organizational-Level Maintenance operations at NAS Key West, Florida.

The Aircrew Survival Flight Equipment Technician I performs inspection, maintenance, repair, servicing, testing, troubleshooting, installation, removal, and modification of aircraft aircrew survival and flight equipment.

The position supports the readiness and serviceability of assigned aircrew survival equipment and requires strict adherence to applicable technical publications, inspection requirements, maintenance procedures, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on assigned aircrew survival and flight equipment. 
  • Inspect survival and flight equipment for serviceability. 
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, servicing, and component replacement. 
  • Perform removal and installation of assigned survival equipment. 
  • Perform authorized testing and operational checks. 
  • Identify defective, damaged, expired, or unserviceable equipment. 
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records. 
  • Interpret applicable technical publications and maintenance instructions. 
  • Maintain required equipment configuration and serviceability. 
  • Support aircrew equipment readiness requirements. 
  • Maintain assigned tools and equipment. 
  • Support preservation and storage requirements for survival equipment. 
  • Support aircraft maintenance and flight-line operations as required. 
  • Support aircraft detachments as required. 
  • Support SAR operations when directed. 
  • Maintain required certifications and qualifications. 
  • Participate in emergency drills and aircraft movement or salvage operations when directed. 
  • Perform all work in accordance with applicable technical manuals, maintenance procedures, technical directives, and local instructions.
Requirements

 

Specific Aviation Survival / Flight Equipment Experience — REQUIRED

  • Must have direct hands-on aviation life support or aircrew survival equipment maintenance experience applicable to rotary-wing aviation. 
  • Must have experience inspecting, servicing, repairing, and maintaining aviation survival equipment. 
  • Must have experience interpreting technical publications and equipment maintenance documentation. 
  • Must be capable of identifying equipment discrepancies and determining serviceability. 
  • Must be capable of maintaining accurate maintenance records. 
  • Generic maintenance experience without aviation survival/flight equipment experience does not satisfy the specific experience requirement. 

Additional Requirements

  • Must possess a current U.S. Passport
  • Must possess aviation life support, aircrew survival equipment, or applicable flight equipment maintenance experience. 
  • Must have experience performing inspection, maintenance, repair, and servicing of aviation survival equipment. 
  • Must have working knowledge of applicable aviation survival equipment procedures. 
  • Must be capable of interpreting technical manuals and maintenance publications. 
  • Must be capable of maintaining accurate maintenance documentation. 
  • Must be capable of identifying equipment discrepancies and serviceability conditions. 
  • Must maintain required certifications and qualifications. 
  • Must successfully complete required training and qualification programs. 
  • Must be willing and able to support aircraft detachments and travel as required.
