Q-Lab Corporation is currently seeking mechanically-minded, hands-on people to build, test, and troubleshoot complex electromechanical equipment.

This is not a repetitive production-line assembly position. Our technicians build complete products consisting of hundreds and even thousands of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and fluid-system components. The work requires the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, use hand and power tools, make precise adjustments, and understand how individual components work together as a complete system.

Successful candidates often come from hands-on skilled trades or technical backgrounds like automotive repair, construction, HVAC, maintenance, carpentry and woodworking, or similar fields. Direct manufacturing assembly experience is valuable, but we are more interested in your ability to understand mechanical and electrical systems and build things correctly.

Responsibilities:

• Complete assembly of electrical and mechanical components, ensuring adherence to engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards, and parts lists
• Prepare and assemble intricate units composed of numerous components, requiring precision adjustments, alignment to close tolerances, and compliance with inspection standards
• Exhibit strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the quality and reliability of assembled products
• Demonstrate expertise in sub-assembly and final assembly processes, including tube and hose routing, wire harness routing, and the use of assembly machinery and power tools
• Apply Lean Manufacturing practices, including 5S methodologies, to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe workspace
• Prioritize safety and quality while maintaining high levels of productivity and meeting production deadlines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide assistance in other areas of manufacturing as needed to support operational goals

Required Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 5+ years of previous electro-mechanical assembly experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documents
• Working knowledge of and ability to use mechanical, electrical, and measuring tools
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team setting
• Ability and disposition to adapt to changing priorities
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift 25 pounds

Desired Skills:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in a related field
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform tasks efficiently and accurately while consistently delivering high-quality results
• Experience with testing and troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems
• Applicants with prior experience as an automotive technician, mechanic, HVAC technician, maintenance technician, or similar hands-on mechanical trade are encouraged to apply
