Part-Time Outpatient Child and Family Therapist
Description

Pay-per-visit

Do Meaningful Work — On a Schedule That Works for You

At Carolina Pediatric Therapy, we believe you shouldn’t have to choose between doing work you love and having the flexibility you need.

We’re looking for a passionate, compassionate, and curious Child and Family Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team of pediatric clinicians (including psychologists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, physical therapists, and other child and family therapists) on a part-time, pay-per-visit basis.

Our South Asheville clinic is one of our largest and busiest locations, serving children and families ages birth through 18 in an outpatient setting throughout the greater Asheville area. Our client population extends across South Asheville and Arden, as well as North Asheville, Mars Hill, Marshall, and surrounding communities. This creates an opportunity to work with a diverse range of children and families while becoming part of an established, growing clinic in a beautiful mountain town.

Build a Career That Fits Your Life

This role gives you the opportunity to create your own schedule and determine your own hours while being part of a team that is committed to high-quality care and meaningful clinical work.

You’ll have the flexibility of a part-time role without having to work in isolation. You’ll be part of a collaborative pediatric therapy practice where growth, support, and connection matter.

Why Carolina Pediatric Therapy?

At Carolina Peds, our mission is to build resilient communities through leading in therapeutic care of children and families. We believe every therapist contributes to our vision of serving 100,000 children to impact 1 million lives.

We want clinicians who care deeply about their work, are willing to keep learning, and believe that the best care happens when we work together.

Our South Asheville clinic brings together professionals across disciplines who are committed to supporting children and families. As a Child and Family Therapist, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with other providers and contribute your behavioral health perspective to a multidisciplinary pediatric setting.

We want our clinicians to have the support and connection they need to do excellent work while continuing to grow professionally.

Burn Brightly — Not Burn Out

We’re passionate about creating a culture where therapists can burn brightly without burning out.

For our part-time clinicians, that means having the freedom to determine the schedule that works for you while still having access to a supportive clinical environment.

You’ll have opportunities to:

  • Build a caseload that fits your availability
  • Create your own schedule and choose your hours
  • Collaborate with a highly engaged interdisciplinary team
  • Work alongside OTs, PTs, SLPs, Psychology, and Child and Family Therapists
  • Access ongoing professional development and learning opportunities
  • Receive peer support as you navigate clinical questions and challenges
  • Utilize tools designed to make documentation more efficient and manageable, with customizable templates, AI-assisted tools, and reasonable expectations focused on quality care
  • Work across clinic and telehealth environments, as applicable to your role and availability

What You’ll Do

As a Child and Family Therapist, you’ll evaluate and treat children and families with a wide range of behavioral and mental health needs.

You’ll provide engaging, evidence-based interventions designed to help children and families build skills, strengthen relationships, navigate challenges, and reach their potential.

You’ll have the opportunity to make therapy practical and meaningful by helping children use the skills they develop in therapy within the environments where they actually live, learn, and grow.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who brings both clinical skill and genuine passion to their work.

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Are passionate about working with children and families
  • Value collaboration and believe in interdisciplinary care
  • Are curious and committed to continued learning
  • Welcome feedback and see it as an opportunity to grow
  • Are willing to have courageous conversations when needed
  • Practice with compassion, professionalism, and integrity
  • Have experience using evidence-based treatments
  • Want to be part of a team—not simply a provider working independently

The Flexibility You’ve Been Looking For

This is a part-time, pay-per-visit position designed for clinicians who value autonomy and flexibility.

You choose your schedule.
You choose your hours.
You choose how much you work.

At the same time, you’ll have the opportunity to work within a supportive organization with a strong mission, collaborative colleagues, and a culture focused on safety, growth, and excellence.

Compensation & Flexibility

  • Pay-per-visit compensation
  • Create your own schedule
  • Choose your hours based on your availability
  • Opportunity to build a caseload that fits your goals and availability
Requirements
  •  Licensure in Psychology, Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy
  • 2+ years of experience preferred
  • Strong pediatric candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply
  • Experience and training in evidence-based treatments
  • Bilingual skills are a plus

Your Time. Your Schedule. Your Impact.

You don’t have to work full-time to make a full-time impact.

If you’re looking for meaningful clinical work with children and families, but want the freedom to create a schedule that works for your life, we’d love to meet you.

Come be part of a team that believes therapists should be supported, challenged, valued, and given the opportunity to burn brightly not burn out.

Join Carolina Pediatric Therapy and help us build resilient communities, one child and family at a time.
