Position Overview
The Design Department is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator / BIM Technologist to support and advance our Building Information Modeling (BIM) and digital design initiatives. This position will play a critical role in developing BIM standards, coordinating multidisciplinary project models, supporting project teams, and implementing technology solutions that improve quality, efficiency, and collaboration across the organization.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized technical professional who combines strong Revit expertise with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and digital project delivery.
Primary Responsibilities
BIM Leadership & Coordination
- Develop, maintain, and enforce BIM standards, templates, workflows, and 9/17/26, 10:43 AM BIM Coordinator / BIM Technologist quality control procedures.
- Coordinate architectural, structural, civil, and MEP models across multiple projects.
- Lead clash detection and coordination reviews using Navisworks and related tools.
- Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project-specific BIM requirements.
- Ensure model integrity, consistency, and compliance with company standards and client expectations.
- Monitor model health and perform regular audits to ensure quality and best practices.
Technology & Process Development
- Manage and optimize Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and BIM collaboration workflows.
- Evaluate and implement emerging BIM technologies, workflows, and digital delivery processes.
- Develop model-based workflows that improve efficiency, quality, and project delivery.
- Assist with automation initiatives using Dynamo and other digital tools.
- Support implementation of digital design standards across the Design Department.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for BIM technology and project collaboration platforms.
Project Support
- Serve as the primary BIM resource for project teams throughout all project phases.
- Create and maintain high-quality Revit models and content libraries.
- Troubleshoot model issues and provide technical support to designers and project teams.
- Support project documentation, data management, and digital deliverables.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to resolve coordination issues.
Training & Development
- Train and mentor design staff on BIM standards, workflows, and best practices.
- Create documentation, standards manuals, and workflow guides.
- Lead internal BIM workshops and training sessions.
- Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement throughout the Design Department.
Qualifications
Required
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology, BIM Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of BIM, VDC, Digital Design, or Project Coordination experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit.
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and BIM 360 platforms.
- Strong understanding of design and construction documentation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred
- Experience with Navisworks Manage.
- Dynamo scripting and workflow automation experience.
- Knowledge of BIM standards and ISO 19650 principles.
- Experience developing BIM standards, templates, and training programs.
- Familiarity with digital twins, reality capture, laser scanning, and model-based project delivery.
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary design teams.
