Sr. Manager, Partner Onboarding
Remote Worker - N/A
Description

The Why Behind Wellvana:

The healthcare system isn’t designed for health. We’re designed to change that. We’re Wellvana, and we help doctors deliver life-changing healthcare.

Through our elevated value-based care programs, we’re revitalizing an antiquated system that’s far too long relied on misaligned incentives that reward quantity of care not the quality of it.

Our enlightened approach—covering everything from care coordination to clinical documentation education to marketing— ties the healthy outcomes of patients directly to shared savings for primary care providers, health systems and payors.

Providers in our curated network keep their independence, reduce their administrative headaches, and spend more time with patients. Patients, in turn, get an elevated experience with coordinated care between appointments that is nothing short of life-changing.

Named 2024 "Best in Business" and 2023 "Best Place to Work" by Nashville Business Journal, we’re one of the fastest-growing healthcare companies in America because what we do works. This is the way medicine is meant to be.

Clarity on the Role:

The Senior Manager, Partner Onboarding is the partner-facing execution leader within Wellvana’s Business Transformation division, translating the Director’s lifecycle strategy into day-to-day onboarding excellence for an assigned portfolio of net-new physician partners. This role owns the onboarding operations workflow for their partner portfolio, leading executive-level partner engagements, managing activation readiness, delivering partner education, and ensuring every partner transitions into Wellvana’s value-based care programs with clarity, confidence, and full compliance. This role holds no direct reports but works in close coordination with the Sr. PM and PM through a dotted-line relationship, aligning portfolio execution with the team’s project infrastructure across the onboarding and offboarding lifecycle.

The Sr. Manager is the team’s subject matter authority on ACO program requirements and the go-to leader for partner-facing execution: deeply fluent in value-based care operations, skilled at building trusted partner relationships, and committed to delivering a seamless, compliant experience at every lifecycle touchpoint. This role operates within the operational infrastructure and standards the Director establishes, bringing those standards to life through direct partner engagement, cross-functional coordination with Growth, Partner Success, Service Activation, Analytics, and Technology/Product, and portfolio-level reporting that contributes to the Director’s executive communications.

What's Expected:

Onboarding & Activation Operations

  • Lead the activation readiness process for partner portfolio in alignment with the readiness gate standards the Director has established with Service Activation, monitoring milestone progress, proactively resolving blockers, and ensuring every partner handoff is complete, compliant, and well-documented before Service Activation engagement begins. Escalate exceptions, compliance gaps, and edge cases to the Director.
  • Lead and execute executive-level onboarding engagements with net-new partners, running kick-off meetings, partner assessments, SME sessions, training webinars, and orientation events with professionalism and strategic intent; serve as a confident subject matter authority on ACO program participation obligations.
  • Conduct live and virtual partner assessments to determine education and training needs; own and deliver strategic educational content on core ACO programs including Annual Wellness Visits, HCC coding, and ACO foundational program requirements, adapting content and approach to each partner’s context and readiness.
  • Own the partner relationship throughout the onboarding journey for assigned portfolio, driving partner performance, satisfaction, and engagement through proactive, executive-level communication and a commitment to each practice’s success in Wellvana’s ACO.

Technology Platform & Process Execution

  • Execute onboarding and offboarding workflows within the AI Platform in accordance with the playbooks, compliance standards, and configuration quality requirements the Director oversees, maintaining data accuracy and ensuring every workflow step meets the operational infrastructure standards the team has built.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement as AI Platform automation scales; surface gaps between automated steps and human judgment needs, and bring forward recommendations that inform the Director’s automation and technology roadmap for the function.
  • Collaborate in the development and maintenance of onboarding tools, templates, and resources including partner assessments, project plans, training materials, and cross-functional handoff documentation.

Offboarding Support

  • Support the structured wind-down of exiting partners in coordination with the Director and Sr. PM, contributing to exit timeline execution, data retrieval, system deprovisioning, and compliance closure documentation in alignment with the offboarding standards that mirror the rigor of onboarding.
  • Ensure offboarding activities are executed with the same operational discipline and compliance standards that define onboarding; both ends of the partner journey reflect the quality the Director has established for the function.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead strategy and execution for their partner portfolio in close partnership with Growth, Partner Success, and Service Activation, aligning on partner goals, managing shared milestones, and ensuring a seamless, coordinated experience at every touchpoint in the partner journey from contract execution through activation handoff.
  • Work in close coordination with the Sr. PM and PM (dotted-line relationships) to align project execution with portfolio strategy, ensuring workstreams stay on track, handoffs are clean, and the team operates as a cohesive unit across all active partners.
  • Represent portfolio performance and partner progress to internal stakeholders; contribute to the Director’s executive-level reporting by providing accurate, timely portfolio updates, partner pipeline summaries, and activation readiness status that feed into the team’s communications to senior leadership.
  • Serve as the primary internal and external point of contact for their assigned partner portfolio, a trusted resource for partners, Partner Success, and internal teams on ACO program questions, onboarding process guidance, and partner-specific decisions.

Program Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze partner data and onboarding outcomes to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; translate insights into actionable recommendations that improve the partner experience and program performance.
  • Own and continuously improve onboarding best practices, SOPs, and partner-facing education materials for portfolio, sharing learnings and patterns across the team to strengthen the consistency and quality of the partner lifecycle infrastructure, and contributing to the Director’s goal of building a scalable, program-agnostic onboarding model.
  • Model a learning culture within the onboarding team, staying current on ACO program updates, value-based care developments, Wellvana operational changes, and Business Transformation priorities that affect partner readiness or the team’s operational scope
