Position Overview:

The Maintenance General Labor position actively provides support to the maintenance team in the efforts to increase runtime of the entire facility. Additionally, support building and grounds maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support day-to-day production requirements to maintain machinery running and producing parts in constant supply
• Work in a safe manner to keep you and your team incident free
• Manage and organize inventories of oils, coolants and other MRO items to avoid shortages and excesses.
• Cleaning of machines, coolant tanks and other equipment
• Filter changes on air filtration and HVAC units
• Perform and/or assist with weekly/monthly/annual preventative maintenance tasks and routine inspections of premises and equipment. 
• Forklift, vehicle and floor scrubber maintenance including monthly PM’s 
• Prepare, maintain, and operate floor scrubber to clean plant floors
• Change machine filters
• Clean and degrease machines
• Perform outdoor landscape duties
• Painting walls, shelves, and work areas
• Various demolitions using various tools

Qualifications:

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong attention to detail
• Organized and task oriented.
• Be mechanically inclined and have experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to operate forklifts and aerial lifts
• Have a valid driver license with a clear record for 5 years.
• Stamina and strength to perform manual labor
• Excellent hand-eye-coordination

Education: Highschool diploma

Experience and/or Training: Mechanical aptitude with the desire to learn.
