Position Overview:
We seek a dedicated and passionate Human Resources Manager who will report to the COO and serve as the central HR expert for our team. In this role, you will be a strategic partner to the CEO, COO, CSO, and school leadership, driving HR initiatives and processes that champion our employees and support the execution of PPHS's mission. You will have a direct impact on fostering a positive and productive work environment where every employee feels valued and empowered to contribute their best. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and professional development. Key Responsibilities:
Champion of Employee Experience:
- Serve as employees' primary advocate and voice, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment where everyone feels heard, valued, and respected.
- Lead employee relations and engagement initiatives, proactively addressing concerns, mediating disputes, and promoting a culture of open communication and collaboration.
- Cultivate strong relationships with employees at all levels, building trust and rapport to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving.
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy in close partnership with the CEO, COO, CSO, and executive team.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of human capital. Collaborate with school leadership to identify and address staffing needs and talent development opportunities.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance and recognizes employee contributions.
Talent Acquisition & Development:
- Manage the full staff recruitment and selection cycle, ensuring a robust pool of qualified candidates.
- Assess training needs and implement effective programs to support employee growth and development. Promote opportunities for ongoing professional development.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of human capital. Collaborate with school leadership to identify and address staffing needs and talent development opportunities.

HR Operations & Compliance:
- Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with all legal and company requirements.
- Manage all HR activities in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, identifying and mitigating potential legal risks to protect the organization's interests.
- Maintain Employee Handbook, partnering with leadership on any policy revisions.
- Oversee and manage employee benefits programs, including the benefits website and employee site.
- Maintain pay plans and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality and cost-effective services.
- Partner with the finance team to support payroll and benefits administration.
- Serve as the organization's Title IX Coordinator.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven working experience as an HR Manager or other HR Executive.
- People-oriented and results-driven.
- Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics.
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all company levels.
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
