Our people build what wins races. You'll help find them.
At RWB, our brands make performance parts that riders and racers trust on the track and the trail. Behind every piston, clutch, and exhaust is a team of machinists, engineers, assemblers, and pros who take pride in getting it right. We're looking for an HR Generalist/Recruiter who wants to be part of that team and help it grow.
This role is for someone who can Lead the development and implementation of a quality management system (QMS) that builds a culture of quality across the manufacturing operation. Drive continuous improvement metrics and programs. Establish quality frameworks, inspection standards, and root cause analysis discipline that support production excellence and customer satisfaction.
What you'll do
1. Quality Management Framework
- Audit & Compliance — Conduct internal quality audits against customer requirements, ISO standards, and industry best practices. Document findings and corrective actions.
- Quality Manual & Procedures — Establish or refine QMS documentation (inspection procedures, sampling plans, reject criteria, material controls). Ensure all floor staff understand and follow procedures.
- Customer Requirements — Maintain current understanding of customer quality expectations. Translate into plant-specific standards and inspection criteria.
- Supplier Quality — Oversee the review incoming materials against specs. Work with vendors on rejects and trend analysis. Flag chronic supplier issues.
- Documentation Documentation— Maintain quality records (inspection logs, test data, NCR files, corrective actions) in organized, auditable systems.
2. Continuous Improvement & QC Metrics
- Metrics Dashboard Metrics Dashboard — Establish baseline KPIs for your facility: scrap rate, rework rate, first-pass yield, customer rejects, inspection efficiency. Track and report monthly to plant manager.
- Process Control — Implement charting/trending for critical dimensions and characteristics. Identify when processes drift and escalate to Manufacturing Engineer.
- Root Cause Analysis (CAPA) — Lead structured problem-solving on reject trends and customer issues. Assign corrective actions, follow up on closure.
- Continuous Improvement Projects — Partner with Manufacturing Engineer and Manufacturing Manager on CI initiatives that improve yield, reduce scrap, or improve quality metrics.
- Metrics Review — Huddles with operations leads (Assembly Lead, Welding Lead, and Production Lead) and Manufacturing Engineer to review quality data and plan improvements.
3. Quality Leadership & Team Development
- Inspection Team Management — Lead, mentor, and hold accountable quality leads and their inspectors. Set expectations for inspection rigor, efficiency, and floor communication.
- Inspector Training — Conduct or coordinate training on new products, procedures, and measurement techniques. Ensure inspectors understand acceptance criteria and can explain rejects.
- Floor Presence — Spend time on the floor regularly. Review inspection data with leads. Observe processes and quality issues and build relationships with production teams.
- Lean Quality Culture — Partner with Manufacturing Manager to embed quality thinking into daily standup meetings. Help operators understand why quality matters.
- Career Development — Identify high performers among your leads and inspectors. Develop them for advancement (lead roles, floor training, problem-solving leadership).
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Manufacturing Manager — Work together on floor issues. Share quality data that affects production targets. Support CI projects within manufacturing.
- Manufacturing Engineer — Collaborate on process improvements, new product launches, and equipment changes. Flag process capability issues; provide data to guide design/method decisions.
- Warehouse Manager — Coordinate on finished-goods inspection, packaging quality, and shipping standards.
- Plant Manager — Weekly check-ins on metrics, issues, and staffing. Escalate customer concerns or systemic quality trends.
5. Deliverables - Success Metrics
- Build upon existing quality framework — Written QMS that covers inspection procedures, standards, CAPA process, and customer requirements.
- Metrics Established & Tracked — Scrap, rework, first-pass yield, customer rejects, overall COPQ.
- Supplier Quality Program — NPD, Sourcing and Procurement support, incoming inspection, supplier issues resolved or escalated.
- CI Projects — Lead and support quality improvement projects with Manufacturing Engineer and Manufacturing and Assembly Managers.
What you bring
- 5+ years in manufacturing quality (automotive, medical device, aerospace, or similar regulated environment preferred).
- Hands-on inspection & testing — Experience with dimensional inspection (calipers, gauges, CMM), functional testing, or visual inspection standards.
