Position summary

We are seeking a journeyman Risk Management Analyst to identify, assess, and track risks affecting Federal Client screening programs across the capability lifecycle. The analyst independently performs assigned analyses, facilitates stakeholder discussions, maintains actionable risk records, and recommends mitigation strategies to the Program Manager and Government leads. The position focuses on program and acquisition risks affecting cost, schedule, technical performance, and mission delivery.

Responsibilities

· Identify and document program risks with financial, scheduling, acquisition, technical, and operational stakeholders; distinguish potential risks from existing issues.

· Assess likelihood, consequences, urgency, and interactions among risks using program-approved methods; recommend priorities and escalation to leadership.

· Maintain the risk register with clear descriptions, assigned owners, mitigation actions, target dates, status updates, and residual-risk assessments.

· Coordinate risk reviews, track mitigation progress, assess whether actions are reducing exposure, and flag overdue actions or emerging concerns.

· Prepare clear, accessible risk reports and decision briefings; develop mitigation options that reduce vulnerabilities and improve resilience, and coordinate resulting changes with program schedules and financial plans.

Deliverables supported

Prepare monthly risk-register updates and risk management reports, analyses, or activities; provide risk inputs to recurring program status reports and reviews.

Minimum Required qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in business, program management, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

· At least 3 years of relevant experience in program analysis, risk management, acquisition support, or project controls, including hands-on responsibility for risk assessments and mitigation tracking.

· Ability to independently maintain risk registers, assess cost/schedule/performance impacts, facilitate working sessions, and develop clear mitigation recommendations.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; strong analytical writing, stakeholder coordination, and follow-through.

Preferred qualifications

Experience with acquisition programs, transportation security equipment, or federal program risk reviews; familiarity with Microsoft Project or Power BI. Risk management training or certification is desirable, not required.
