Apprenticeship ~ Youth CNA
Description

The youth apprentice performs nurse aid duties under the supervision of a registered nurse for patients with a well-defined nursing diagnosis.  Student Apprentices are required to have a satisfactory completion of HRMC’s nurse aid training and orientation program available through Southeast Technical College, as well as the Department of Labor’s Bring Your ‘A’ Game (BYAG) training. Apprentices will have the opportunity to explore areas of healthcare in rotating shifts while getting paid for their worked experience.  The student will be encouraged to choose 2-4 additional HRMC departments to observe.

Minimum Certification/Licenses Requirements: 11th or 12th grade dual credit-eligible student in area high school. Earn a minimum of a Level 3 on the National Career Readiness Certificate in the Health Career Cluster. 


Preferred Experience: CPR certification
