The Keene Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Childcare Associate to work in their busy ChildWatch program. ChildWatch is a free childcare service for members which allows them to workout while their child has fun playing under the supervision of caring and attentive staff.  The Y offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including free membership, and the opportunity to be part of a supportive team of dedicated professionals committed to strengthening community.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

1. Assists with implementing curriculum within the established guidelines. 
2. Assists with supervising the children, and activities.  
3. Assists in creating a warm, friendly, safe environment for children to play and thrive.
4. Effectively communicates with parents regarding their children and the program. 
5. Maintains positive relationships and effective communications with parents. 
6. Engages parents and volunteers using a DEI lens. 
7. Actively support the Y Child Watch program and its staff. 
8. Maintains program site and equipment. 
9. Assists with maintaining program records.

• At least 16 years of age 
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of  
  hire date
• Child Abuse Prevention training and Y applicable training within 7 days of hire 
• A desire to work with children in a developmental setting.  
• Ability to implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities as directed
