A Deli Associate assists guests in choosing products and portion sizes, sharing knowledge about the ingredients and preparation of products at the deli counter.
· Assists guests with product selection and slices, weighs, labels and packages products as requested
· Preparing sandwiches, salads, side dishes and dinner items for take out
· Merchandises displays attractively and rotates products per quality and to First In First Out (FIFO) standards
· Maintains a clean and sanitary work area that meets Department of Health standards
· Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
· Basic knife skills
· Knowledge of Italian cuisine preferred
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including weekends
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
· Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
