Summary

Assist coaching staff of the respective team at Keuka College in any and/or all daily duties, including but not limited to: office work, practice & game preparation, recruitment of potential student-athletes, team statistics, photography, uniform laundry, equipment


Essential Responsibilities:

  •  Interact with Keuka College team members, the opponent's team, and other professional staff. 
  •  May utilize a computer, communication, and marketing skills within a professional athletic office environment. 
  •  Prioritize responsibilities, utilize the efficient use of time without constant supervision, work directly with peers, and separate social and work obligations. 
  •  Responsible for ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in compliance with various institutional and regulatory requirements. 
  •  Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times towards co-workers, internal and external customers, representing Keuka College, its programs, policies, and procedures in a positive and professional manner. Maintain effective working relationships to ensure institution-wide teamwork. 
  •  Attend provided/necessary training and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required. 
  •  Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the Keuka College mission, vision, and values and adhering to institutional policies. 
  •  Maintain a high regard for student privacy in accordance with the FERPA privacy policies and procedures. 
  •  Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required. 
  •  Perform other functions as assigned by management. 


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Eligible for a Keuka Work-Study Award or Federal Work-Study Award.
  2. A Keuka College student in the traditional undergraduate on-campus program.
  3. Some working knowledge of the respective sport; past experience helpful but not required.
  4. Must be dependable and punctual - Flexible working hours a must!
  5. Prefer computer/word processing, marketing, and communication skills.
  6. Prefer office/clerical, telephone, and filing skills and/or experience.
  7. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  8. Understand and behave with a high level of integrity and complete confidentiality at all times.
  9. Ability to be sensitive to and respond to needs/concerns of students, faculty, college staff and the public.
  10. Ability to work under pressure with a high tolerance for interruptions, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people. 


Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional travel with the respective team required. 
  •  May be required to work in inclement weather on occasion. 
  •  Evening and weekend hours required. 
  •  Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
