Treehouse Pediatric Therapy is a locally owned multidisciplinary pediatric outpatient clinic with locations in Woodridge and Batavia, IL. We provide core therapy services for clients aged 0-18 including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and ABA therapy. Additionally offered are specialized programs and services including pelvic floor therapy, feeding therapy, nutrition services, and neuro services. Treehouse's ultimate goal is to create meaningful change in clients' lives through an emphasis on a holistic therapeutic approach, involving families in carryover of care, and supporting employees' needs to allow them to provide the best services possible.
Treehouse is looking for a part-time or full-time experienced Pediatric Pelvic Floor Specialist ("PF Specialist") to join an existing highly regarded team of Physical Therapists providing this specialty service, including the owner, who is a PT that has been practicing pediatric pelvic floor health since 2011. The owner is available to provide mentorship to help the candidate succeed in this role.
Treehouse's team of PF Specialists is supported by a Pediatric Dietitian and Feeding Therapy team that consult with Pelvic Floor clients. The PF Specialist team is also supported by an amazing administrative team that handles all the non-clinical work of faxing, scheduling, payments and any other non-clinical communications with the client. The PF Specialist would be joining a multi-disciplinary team at Treehouse, which includes PTs, OTs, SLPs, BCBAs, Dietitians, Counselors, Behavior Therapists, and Feeding Therapists. Treehouse has found that this multidisciplinary model serves the complete client needs so that we can provide a cohesive treatment approach to the child and family.
This position is new and is a result of the growth at Treehouse that has tripled in size over the last three years, across all disciplines. We are looking for either a PT or OT to fill this position. Both of our clinics have dedicated pelvic floor treatment rooms with attached bathrooms, hi-low tables, sinks and storage. Treehouse is also open to Physical Therapists who want to treat pelvic floor and other pediatric physical therapy diagnoses including clients with developmental delays, toe walking, low muscle tone, neurological disorders, ASD and other common pediatric diagnoses.
The PF Specialist would be expected to complete the following:
- Complete initial evaluations for clients
- Treat clients that have urinary, fecal or mixed incontinence diagnoses
- Document in a manner that is acceptable to insurance companies and referring physicians
- Make a few evenings available to accommodate our clients' scheduling needs
- Work in a professional manner with other treating therapists on the clients' team
- Create home exercise programs for families to work through
- Effective communication to clients and their parents on expectations of the therapy
- Trained in the pelvic floor courses
This position can be part-time (3-29 hours/week) or full-time (30-40 hours/week). If interested in more than 30 hours/week, the position is eligible for Treehouse's full-time benefits.
- Advanced Physical or Occupational Therapy Degree (MPT, DPT, MOT, OTD)
- Active Physical or Occupational Therapy license through the Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation (IDFPR)
- Experience and training in pelvic floor health (Preferred, on the job training available)
