Definiti is a national retirement services company that helps clients manage and administer their retirement plans. We help clients define what's possible and what’s next for their retirement plans. 

 

The Retirement Plan Specialist (RPS)   serves as the single point of contact to Definiti customers. They communicate regularly with customers, answer questions and seek out additional resources so customers have the information they need to feel supported by Definiti. Ongoing communication with customers provides an elevated level of support to ensure customer delight.


 Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  

  • Utilize effective proactive communication and service skills to ensure customer delight 
  • Serve as the single point of contact for an assigned book of retirement plan sponsors and Investment advisors and own the day-to-day relationship
  • Build strong relationships with clients and Advisors through timely deliverables to ensure satisfaction and client retention
  • Represent the company on client calls and in client meetings, as needed
  • Provide data to the administration team so they can perform annual testing (ADP/ACP, 402(g), Top Heavy determination, 410(b), etc.) accurately and timely
  • Ensure compliance with DOL and IRS requirements
  • Ability to accurately interpret and apply plan document provisions


Requirements


Competencies Required 

  

  • Must possess stellar communication skills and enjoy speaking with customers regularly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Possess strong organizational skills and detail orientation
  • Time management focused adhering to deadlines and timelines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with ASC software preferred 


Education and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required for all positions at Definiti
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial services operations environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Broad knowledge of the retirement plan industry, willingness to obtain ASPPA QKA designation or NIPA equivalent

  • Accustomed to file-storage and file-sharing tools such as Microsoft SharePoint and Citrix ShareFile
