Description

Mercy Home for Children is hiring for a Residential Managers for our programs located Brooklyn (Greenpoint area), working with individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities.  If you have checked off on the following credentials: 


•BA/BS degree in a related field. 

•One year of experience providing day to day oversight to an OPWDD certified program for individuals with developmental disabilities.

• Experience with OPWDD audits, participating in IDT meetings, handling financial ledgers, training & supervising staff.

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, along with strong knowledge of OPWDD regulations.

• New York State and a Valid and Unrestricted NYS driver’s license is required.

Requirements

• Manage the daily operation of the program to ensure its compliance with all regulations; and agency 

policies, procedures, and standards. 

• Ensure individual program plans are implemented as prescribed and protect and uphold the rights of 

the individuals served. 

• Provide oversight and ensure the accurate, timely and complete documentation of all required 

paperwork for the individuals in the residential program, as per OPWDD standards. 

• Ensure confidentiality and security of information, using Therap software program. 

• Manage incidents and reporting of incidents as per agency guidelines and all regulations. 

• Serve as the liaison with other service providers including but not limited to sheltered workshops, day 

habilitation programs, hospitals, doctors, and Case Managers, neighbors and community contacts.

• Serve as the primary contact for family members, advocates, guardians, and others who are involved 

with the individuals; and develop these contacts in a manner that is most beneficial to the individuals. 

• Manage individuals finances including but not limited to personal allowance, clothing & burial funds, as 

well as plan vacations.

• Actively participate in all mandatory training, IDT meetings, in-services, & conferences as required; maintain 

certification in all mandatory training.


DAYS: Sunday-Thursday (35 hours per week) DAYS/LOCATION WILL VARY BASED ON AGENCY

Salary Description
$67,000 - $70,000
