Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Maintenance Technician to support our night shift operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment critical to wire and cable production, including wire drawing, bunching, extrusion, and jacketing lines. Ideal candidates will have both mechanical and electrical maintenance skills and a strong sense of responsibility in a safety-sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on wire and cable production equipment.
     
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
     
  • Support production by ensuring minimal equipment downtime and fast response to breakdowns.
     
  • Diagnose faults using schematics, PLC interfaces, multimeters, and control systems.
     
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and safety improvements.
     
  • Maintain accurate logs, work orders, and documentation.
     
  • Follow safety procedures and support a clean and organized work environment.
     
  • Collaborate with other departments, including production and engineering, to resolve issues efficiently.

Requirements

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
     
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance (wire and cable industry experience is a plus).
     
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial electricity, motor controls, and PLC basics.
     
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
     
  • Experience with troubleshooting extrusion or wire drawing equipment is highly desirable.
     
  • Must be comfortable working a 5 PM–5 AM rotating night shift.
     
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
     
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.
