Responsibilities:

· Setting up and stocking Bakery work stations.

· Ensure product freshness by rotating out old product and following quality control schedule.

· Follow recipes and food preparation meeting expectations of Farmer Joe’s Fresh Market standards with exceptional quality and sense of urgency.

· Baking fresh product from scratch.

· Maintains the highest level of standards for all product preparation and presentation.

· Maintain clean organized work environment that is free of safety hazards including trash removal, sweeping, mopping and dishes.

· Restock and assist with inventory as needed.

· Execute merchandising standards consistent with company standards.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  

Qualifications:

·  High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.

·  Food Handling/Safety Certification- Preferred but not required.

·  Able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

·  Experience in bakery.

· Must be 18 years and older

Required Skills / Abilities:

· Displays strong creative background, able to suggest alternatives, and be open to suggestion. 

· Extensive knowledge in food safety, including knowledge of danger zone, temperature control, storage, logs.

· Must have strong knife skills and other kitchen utensils.

· Expertise with baking.

· Must display strong leadership skills. 

· Able to verbally give clear instructions in a respectful, professional manner. 

· Create a motivational environment.

· Able to open, close, work mid shift on rotation. 

· Excellent attention to details.

· Demonstrate ability to work independently, be an organized, creative self-starter and efficient in a constantly evolving environment.

· Ability to manage and successfully execute multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Requirements:

· Able to physically lift 50 pounds or more.

· Must be able to push and pull equipment of various sizes and weights.

· Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility as well as bend, reach, twist and squat.

· Ability to work the necessary shifts in hot, noisy, and close conditions.

· Able to work with various fresh products, without negative allergic consequences.
