About RAS

RAS is a growing infrastructure asset and pavement management consulting firm providing services to transportation agencies across the United States. We use a fleet of advanced automated data-collection systems to assess roadway and sidewalk conditions and develop right-of-way asset inventories for cities, counties, state Departments of Transportation, and other public agencies.

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated West Region Sales Representative to build and manage RAS's business throughout the Western United States.

The Role

The West Region Sales Representative will be responsible for driving new-business development within the assigned territory and maintaining the long-term commercial relationship with clients developed through those efforts or otherwise assigned to the Representative. This individual will be responsible for building a qualified sales pipeline, identifying and developing new opportunities, advancing prospects through the sales process, and closing new business.

This is an active, relationship-driven sales position. The successful candidate will be comfortable initiating conversations with municipal decision-makers, including Public Works Directors, City Engineers, transportation professionals, and other public-sector leaders. The role requires consistent outbound prospecting, thoughtful follow-up, consultative selling, presentations, scope and proposal development, and ultimately closing work.

The Sales Representative will work closely with the RAS Operations team throughout the sales process. Operations leads project delivery following contract award, while the Sales Representative maintains the long-term commercial relationship with the client and continues identifying future opportunities.

Sales will also partner with Operations and RAS leadership on qualified opportunities they identify, providing commercial support, presentations, pricing and scope coordination, client follow-up, procurement support, and closing assistance as appropriate.

The assigned territory includes:

Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

This is a remote position. Candidates must reside within the assigned Western U.S. territory and within reasonable proximity to a major commercial airport due to regular regional travel.

  • Serve as a primary commercial liaison between assigned clients and RAS Operations while Operations manages project delivery.
  • Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and other business-development events as required.
  • Collaborate with RAS marketing and proposal resources on presentations, proposals, brochures, white papers, and other pursuit materials.

  • Document substantive sales activity, including meetings, presentations, scope discussions, proposals, quotations, and client follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate sales stages, expected close dates, and weighted probabilities for assigned opportunities.
  • Travel throughout the assigned region for client meetings, presentations, conferences, and other business-development activities.
  • Approximately 25–50% travel may be required depending on sales activity.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support RAS growth.
