Description
Cox & Company, Inc. is looking for an outgoing individual who will prepares clear and complete, accurate working plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes by performing the following duties.

Role and Responsibilities
- Develop final technical drawings and schematics, verifying component dimensions, material specifications, and the spatial relationships between individual parts and the overall assembly.
- Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering practices, mathematics, and material science to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of completed designs.
- Execute necessary design adjustments, revisions, and engineering change orders or Notice (ECOs or ECNs) as requested by the engineering team.
- Create finished, high-precision designs, layouts, and manufacturing blueprints directly from rough sketches, notes, and concept models.
- Generate technical charts, diagrams, and schematics to represent statistical data, electrical routing, or system architectures visually.
- Utilize advanced computer-aided drafting (CAD) equipment and software platforms (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Draftsight) to generate 2D drawings and 3D models. Other computer skills: Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word, Power Point.
- Ensure all drawing packages, workflows, and document management processes comply with internal ISO quality management system standards.
- Conduct targeted component research to identify and source electronic and mechanical parts that meet specific design constraints and project requirements.
- Maintain robust configuration control by tracking document histories and ensuring all data adheres to company data management baselines.

- Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Salary Description
$75,000 – $85,000 Annually
