Concept Rehab is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide high-quality occupational therapy services in a skilled nursing facility in Johnston, Iowa.  Join an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team dedicated to helping residents maximize independence, improve daily function, and achieve meaningful outcomes.

Requirements

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. 
  • Assist patients in improving activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, safety awareness, and functional independence. 
  • Implement individualized treatment plans. 
  • Document patient progress in the electronic medical record. 
  • Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary team members. 
  • Participate in discharge planning and care conferences. 
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare, state regulations, and facility policies.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program 
  • Current Iowa COTA license (or license eligible) 
  • New graduates encouraged to apply 
  • Skilled nursing experience preferred but not required 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment
