JOB SUMMARY: Plans, directs, and coordinates the overall operation of the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) to insure safe and effective operation. Supervises EMS personnel and fills in for shift positions as needed during personnel shortage situations.

• Job-Related Skills: Leadership and management abilities and effective oral and written communication skills. Familiar with operation of emergency medical vehicles and equipment. Ability to adhere to hospital, local and state guidelines in delivery of emergency care.
